Walt Disney World May 2009

We arrived in Orlando at 250PM and had 3 bags checked with Disney’s Magical Express transfers. Our documents said our bags would be delivered to our room within 3-4 hours. We did not see the bags until 915PM which messed up our first day big time. Bell Services, although very polite, was not very responsive. They said it takes up to 5 hours. They had the bags there and promised to get them right up to us at 800P but we did not see them until 915PM. Be sure to advise clients to pack a carry on with anything they need as who knows when your bags will arrive.

My family stayed at Saratoga Springs in a 2 bedroom, 2 ½ bath unit. The unit was beautiful; clean, very nicely furnished, full kitchen, all necessary amenities and was a delightful experience. I would very much recommend this option for a family.

I was very surprised at how busy the park was Monday-Friday the first week of May. I overheard people talking about how they took there kids out of school because the prices were so great. There were also many people from other countries.

Chef Mickey’s Buffet was a disappointment as we had a reservation at 945A and didn’t get seated until 1030A. That is a long wait for a hungry 3 year old. I would advise your clients of this potential wait time.

The Character Breakfast at Cinderella’s Castle with the Princesses was just the opposite. We waited about 5 minutes. It was the favorite part of the trip for my granddaughter. Although expensive, the price of the breakfast included the photo op with Cinderella and an 8X10 and 4 4X6 photos. That made it well worth the money.

Other than the issue with the luggage, I did not see a decline in the normal Disney Customer Service. The transportation was efficient and all Disney employees were very cheerful, polite and helpful.
All in all, it was a Magical vacation
