Delta Airlines/Virgin Atlantic and London

As a member of Delta's agency advisory board I was able to travel to London to experience their joint venture with Virgin Atlantic.  The 3 day meeting encompassed more than just your ordinary board meeting (we had that too), but DL wanted us to experience their flight services to London, the Delta arrivals lounge and the Virgin Atlantic arrivals lounge.
Delta's business class now called Delta One had Lie Flat seats. I couldn't get a picture of it in the lie flat position, however the picture gives you an idea of the roominess. The configuration is 1-2-1.

 Delta provides passengers with water, an amenity kit, snacks, noise cancelling head phones to be used in flight and a full size pillow and duvet. Your seat is equipped with your own personal tv, reading light and plug in.

You are offered a menu for dinner

and lobster mac and cheese

And in the morning before landing 

Once we arrived at London Heathrow we went to the Delta arrivals lounge. This lounge is reserved for Delta One customers only. (Customers cannot purchase a pass to go in this lounge) The lounge has a sitting area, shower facilities, and light snacks available. They only  have about 20 customers per day in the lounge.

Virgin Atlantic arrivals lounge had more amenities, including a chef, salon and clothing pressing services while you shower. 

We arrived in London and transferred to the beautiful Corinthia Hotel 

The hotel is located on the Thames River, it is close to an Underground Station and 2 stops from Picadilly Circus. Gorgeous hotel, fresh flowers in your rooms, all of the lobby, they even have their own floral shop. The hotel was bought and gutted and rebuilt from the inside about 4 years ago.  (the outside structure remained untouched)  The rooms were very large and nicely appointed. 

We were lucky enough to go on a boat cruise and see the sights from the Thames River.
