Pacific Terrace Hotel -San Diego

We stayed at the Pacific Terrace the first weekend of Dec. for three nights, and we wished we had stayed for couple of more. It's just a really nice hotel. Staff at a hotel can really make a difference, and the staff here does that in a very positive way. From the moment we walked into the lobby and throughout our stay the staff was top notch. We stayed on the second floor with a full ocean view and we loved it. The room was very nice and the beds are awesome. Our balcony was just over the boardwalk which I loved for people watching. The little things offered by the hotel, such as a glass of wine at check in, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies at 4 pm, ice tea and lemonade available all afternoon and nice bathrobes were a really nice touch.

The location was perfect for us. There were all kinds of reasonably priced restaurants close by. The beach was wonderful for long walks, the boardwalk was also great. The area is populated mostly by the young people which made for some good people watching. We enjoyed the area and hotel so much that we only took the car out of the garage once during our stay.

My wife is in the travel business and this would definitely be the place she recommends to people visiting San Diego. I know we would only consider the Pacific Terrace if we visited the area again.
