Punta Cana FAM -Delta Vacations

The beaches were gorgeous as were most of the resorts we inspected. It's important to qualify your clients as this is not the destination for everyone. The folks who are part of the tourism industry speak English although comprehension and understanding those with heavy accents can be challenging for non Spanish speaking clientele. In addition, anyone who relies on the Internet to stay connected for business or personal reasons could be very frustrated as WIFI access at some of the resorts ranges from very good to terrible and can be very frustrating.

Punta Cana is a wonderful destination for those who want beautiful beaches, snorkeling, diving, water sports, fishing and gaming. A great destination for Honeymooners, families and birders.

BARCELO BAVARO PALACE DELUXE:

This is where we stayed. The grounds are beautiful , the hotel public area and rooms gorgeous, staff very friendly, great kids areas, beautiful pools, fabulous SPA, nice Casino, great Sports Bar & Disco. The property is HUGE and requires lots of walking but they also have a train that comes every 10 minutes. Nice adults area and pool.

We stayed in Club Premium Jr Suite rooms which were lovely. Gorgeous marble bath area, double sinks, separate toilet, shower and sink areas. Whirlpool tub on large balcony. We also inspected the 2 Bedroom with 1 bath and Jacuzzi.

WIFI in my room did not work well, had to go to lobby for it to work. Service was very inconsistent throughout the resort in restaurants, Concierge and public areas. Maids and maintenance workers speak no English so they were of no help. Buffet restaurant food was terrible. We had dinner in the French Specialty restaurant that normally has a $50 per person surcharge. The food was mediocre, at best and I would not have been happy as it was not worth it. Would not recommend this property for foodies!

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOUR CLIENTS BOOK THE CLUB PREMIUM OPTION FOR THE EXTRA AMENITIES AS THEY ARE REALLY WORTH IT.

IBEROSTAR GRAND BAVARO:

This was one of my favorite properties. All public areas, pools, grounds fabulous. 4 hotels in a complex. Very compact property and most premium of 4 properties. Viewed  the Standard Ocean View room and it was gorgeous. Shuttles to downtown Punta Cana. Golf included depending on number of nights and include green fees, snacks, cart and caddies. 24 hour Butler service in some room categories.

OCEAN BLUE & SAND:

Good property for couples and families. Nice lobby and grounds, casual, free WIFI all over the resort, bowling alley very popular, only 4 room categories. Strongly recommend you sell the Privileged .club room categories for the very best experience. Jacuzzi's in all rooms, NO ELEVATORS, rooms not fancy, balconies very small, pricing is VERY GOOD. Nice option for those on a budget

SECRETS ROYAL BEACH:

Adults only, but can use the NOW family resort amenities. Intimate property, beautiful grounds. Viewed Jr Suite Garden View, nice size, large balcony, nice decor. Nice pool and lazy river. RECOMMEND BOOK PREFERRED CLUB FOR AMENITIES SUCH AS FREE WIFI, ETC. Otherwise, WIFI has a charge.

NOW LARIMAR:

Family section of Secrets & Secrets guests can use facilities here. Casino, disco, 5pools, kids program. Viewed Standard & Deluxe Tropical rooms, nice & bath nice both just one sink and everything in one room. Great for families. Had buffet lunch here and it was delicious.

PARADISUS PALMA REAL:

LOVED THIS PROPERTY! Gorgeous grounds, public areas, views, kids area and program, Royal service adults only. Family Concierge recommended for high end clients. 13 restaurants. RESERVE section Family Concierge, not on the beach, quiet pool area, golf carts and shuttles to the beach. Viewed. Luxury Jr Suite, 1 Bedroom Master Suite and both together make a 2Bedroom Master Suite connecting. Gorgeous rooms, large baths, great balconies and high end amenities. Clients would not be disappointed.

HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO:

Loved this property too which was a huge surprise. Lot of energy, loved the rock memorabilia , music playing in the public area. Super fun atmosphere. Young adults, families and seniors who love the rock era and high energy would enjoy this property. Gorgeous grounds, lobby, shops, huge property, kids club, free long distance calls to US and Canada, free WIFI that worked great!. Beach is long distance from lobby area but shuttles. Viewed Standard Suite and Presidential Suite and both gorgeous with fabulous amenities. Always request " Sand Suites" that are beachside we had a fabulous Tepanyaki dinner in the Asian restaurant.

All of the resorts had amazing shops so no reason to go anywhere else to shop for high end items.
