Moon Palace Cancun, Mexico-Sheila
Moon Palace
Moon Palace, stone's throw away from the
Cancun Airport, in fact more then likely the resort you watched outside your
window while landing...is a wedding, golfer, conventioneer haven !
Built in 1994, and never stopped. As inspection - a new additional convention center was being built under construction.
This resort is so large, it requires 3 lobby's, 14 restaurants, 17 bars ( is there ever too many?) and 2,103 rooms as of date ( no, I am not exaggerating, infact I was told by 2016 they are adding another 1,500). This place when you arrive feels more like the Mall of America, with shops, spas, beauty salons, and coffee shops, then a mega resort. This is a teen age girls paradise. She can hang out in the teen club, go shopping, get her hair done - pedicure and when she's done with that - oh that's right - go ride hang out by the Flo-Rider ( which they can tell their peeps at home to watch them from the live cam on the website) Did I mention there was a long white beach to lounge around on too ?
This place has everything. Like all other Palace resorts, your room stay comes with the Resort Credit concept, free wi-fi and phone calls home.
They offer all the smart phone users a free Palace App which has mutiple options. The one I like, is the way it can keep track of your credits for you and what you spent on the spa the day before, when are you swimming with the dolphins? and how many resort credits did it need ?...amazing.
Chi amenities are all over, which I have found to love, love the shampoo, love the flat iron, love the hairdryer....bubble bath in my hot-tub, great products to use.
As mentioned, this resort has everything. You could stay a week, never leave and STILL not do, see, use all this resort has to offer.
Little note, rooms in the Grand section are the newest - some suites have views of the Flo-Rider right off your patio. Rooms 3001-3003 feel like they are front row seats, if you have teen age kids, perfect location.
